Quick LinksAll Duels in Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale in Ghost of Tsushima Tips on Winning Duels in Ghost of Tsushima
The Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale in Ghost of Tsushima is available during Act 2 after completing the ‘A New Horizon’ main mission. Like all other Mythic Tales in the game, players will need to talk to Yamato, the storyteller, to learn about the legend of Kojiro and the reward at stake: the Kensei Armor.
After initiating the quest, Jin learns that Kojiro has issued a challenge against the ‘Ghost,’ but to earn a duel against the legendary swordsman, he first has to find and defeat five Straw Hats spread out across the region.

Tips on Winning Duels in Ghost of Tsushima
Always use Stone Stance for your katana, as all duels during the Six Blades of Kojiro Tale are against swordsmen. Intersperse heavy attacks between light sword swings to build up the stagger meter. Equip an armor set that has the ‘increase to melee damage’ stat. The Ronin Attire and Sakai Clan Armor both fall under this category, but Sakai Clan Armor is technically better as it also has the ‘increase to health’ stat. Alternatively, in the hands of a skilled player, the Sarugami Armor is the most overpowered armor set in Ghost of Tsushima, but be aware that it is a double-edged sword that heavily punishes anything less than perfect timing. Equip multiple Charms of Ferocity to receive a flat increase in melee damage. Don’t worry about double dipping; Charms stack with each other. Charm of Resistance and Charm of Unyielding can both reduce damage taken by a massive amount. Dance of Wrath and Heavenly Strike both deal unavoidable damage. If you have Resolve to spare, don’t hesitate to use these abilities to deal the final blow.
The
Charm of Mizu-no-Kami
increases the window of opportunity for perfect parries and perfect dodges, making it a must-have Charm for anyone opting for the Sarugami armor set.
